Hi ladies...Sorry it's been a while since I posted here...it's hard to catch up with you guys..this thread is HOT.

I went for my first fitting 11/5..here is the link to my 08 post with the pics....excuse the football players arms but they'll be covered by a shrug that day.08 Fitting Post

I aklso found out last week that my contract at my current job will not be extended after 12/31 so I've been focusing on looking for a new job...Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Hope all you beautiful Latinas are doing well...and I promise I'll try to post more here

LMAO, I'm actually laughing because you know that Church is big right? I don't think too many of my invitees will make the ceremony but my Mom, in an effort to have it be full is going to pack it by inviting ALL of the her 'Grupo de Oracion' friends and she is also inviting other Charasmatic Catholic Groups....if this doesn't work, she's having her friends on 'radio Maria' make an announcement....if you know all these organizations, you're probably chuckling.

I figure this should yield about 80 people. A nice size.

Omg thats a whole lot of inviting lmao..moms are too funny sometimes lol..my fh wanted a big church but he realized that his family wont make it so only my immediate family will be there so like 20 people...so we opted for the smaller church so it wouldnt look so empty lol

So i just called the church that i want and they want me to get a recently dated copy of my baptism and for me to become a parish member, has anyone else had to do this?

Are your parents members of the parish? Otherwise it is completely normal for them to ask this.

Can you bring your original copy of your baptism or you need a recently dated copy like what i was told? Thank you for confirming. I haven't done my confirmation but i want to do it so i guess i would just do it at that church also..

Right, you need to have those envelopes with your member number mailed to your home to be 'registered parishoners'. Get to it sooner rather than later chicas....some churches are MUCH stricter than others.
