It's just been insane. I thought winning the free wedding was going to be stress free, but it hasn't I've been under so much stress and lost 6 pounds within the last week...I don't even want to lose weight. I also found out my dad isn't coming to my wedding broke my heart. I also broke my sisters heart because she wanted to be my MOH, but I picked my best friend. I feel terrible Things have been going downhill and it's really affecting me. I'm trying to stay positive.

youre strong it will be ok why isnt your father comming

I'm so upset because my mom and him haven't been together since I was like 9 years old....he remarried and lives in PR. I grew up without my dad and he missed out on so much. It wasn't until 3 years ago that he came back into my life. I can't believe he would miss out on the most important day of my life. I thought he would put his differences to the side because its all about me. I am crushed!

sorry to hear that but don't let that get you down. Just think how marvelous your day will be. Is your sister part of the BP? Maybe you can make her understand that she will be your sister and that she has an important title already and you thought it would be fair to give ur best friend a title. I don't know I s u ck, I chose a friend of mine instead of my best friend for MOH, so time certain relationship are closer than others and you may be closer to your best friend in a different way that you are close to your sister. I know its tough but don't worry, your sister will accept it and just be happy for you.

did you offer to pay for the flight? Is it possible he has economic issues and may also feel embarressed to come to your wedding and not be able to give you anything? Maybe you should tell him how important this is for you and offer to pay for his trip (if its economic issues). Is his wife those crazy ladies?

My sister took it to heart because we are twins and she expected me to pick her and I felt so bad..but i know she will forgive me. As for my dad, he could definitely afford a trip to NY. I don't understand why him and his wife can't put their differences to the side with my mom..this is about me and I can't believe he would rather walk away from the most important day of my life. He's never met my FH or his parents. His wife is normal

Just some women are pathetic and like to cause drama e.g. not letting your dad go. I am sorry, sadly people aren't perfect and sadly we don't live in the perfect world. I do hope and maybe things will change from here till you wedding. If he doesn't make it you can be really proud to have your mom walk you down the aisle. Do you have anyone who has been a father figure? A step-dad?

My mom was going to walk me down the aisle regardless. She has been a mother and father to me. I am the person that I am today because of my mom and I give her full credit for it. It just would've been nice to have my dad there too. He's missed out on so much and I wanted him to meet my FH and his family. But I'll get over it. It just caught me by surprised, but what can I do. I'm so sorry you're feeling this way. Being a bride is emotional enough.....family drama only complicates things SO much more. You have every right to be stressed about your sister and to feel heartbroken over your father.

Feel it, allow yourself to be upset. And then...move on because you know what...we're all cheering you on and we can't wait to see and hear about your AMAZING day. You will be a Princess, a Queen and best of all, you will be married to the love of your life. No one and nothing can change that. You have the world at your feet.

like I said before you have more than a year and many things change, so try not to stress about it now. He might have a chaneg of heart. My DH's mom was not going to go to the wedding and change her mind 3 mnths before. She was just mad that I broke off/canceled our previous wedding just 3 mnths before. People change. Hope this little story helps

Noooooo...its 5 months away!!! Since I won the contest, they picked the date for me..it's no longer 2010..it's in April 2009

LOL...yeah it's 5 months away!!! Scary right! But you girls have been so helpful and great with the advice!! Can't forget, supportive as well throughout the contest. I'm leaving work now, didn't realize it's almost 5:30pm and I'm suppose to leave at 5pm.lol. I will catch up with you girls tomorrow.
