I got married at the Milleridge Nov 2002. All I can say is that you will ALL be very happ. The place is amazing!!! I will bump my review on the review board. There should be pictures of the cottage and my review in there somewhere. Let me know if you have questions.
One pice of advice about the pictures. Be prepared in case it rains. It poored the day we got marriedand we couldn't take pics outdors. So something to keep in mind. We went to the Inn at Fox hollow.

Re: Official Milleridge Thread!
hello fellow milleridge brides...
this thread is great...since i do have a few questions... 1. the christmas decorations will be up the weekend of my wedding, but i can't remember where they will have them setup inside the cottage...i am not going with the florist but will be using the dozen flowers somewhere else, but i think the cottage might be decorated enough for the holidays...can anyone remember? 2. i am going with the 3-star menu and had my tasting before we booked them...the food was great and i can't wait 3. i've noticed that there are a few of you out there, like me, are given only 1/2 hour to get in prior to ch start time...what am i supposed to do if i want my pix all done before ch?...i have a 1pm ceremony, so i will try to get as much picture time as i can, but my time of year only gives me until about 4pm for light...where are we going to go after dark?

Re: Official Milleridge Thread!
THE ONLY THING I CAN REMEMBER IS THE ATRIUM SET UP WITH CHRISTMAS LIGHTS IN THE TOP PORTION OF THE WINDOWS (THE ARCH) WITH A CHRISTMAS/WINTERY LOOKING FLORAL ARRANGEMENT- HOPE THAT HELPS- IM ALSO THINKING THEY HAD A CHRISTMAS TREE SET UP-

It will be decorated for our wedding too.
That is half the reason why I loved it so much. There is a huge Christmas tree in the front where the couches are. All of the beams are wrapped in garland and the chandeliers are wrapped. I dont remember the color of the accent bows around the garland, but I think it was a plum color.

I just have to say that I am sooo jealous of all you ladies--
We had our reception at the cottage on 4/28/01 and it was outstanding
TO answer a few questions-- the 2 Start menu was great--no one thought we were skimping on anything
We only went to the Village and the back of the cottage for pictures and they were amazing
Thanks Laura! Your review is great & so detailed & I loved seeing pictures in the village, b/c I am on the fence about that.
I loved the part in your review about the beer, b/c FH & I were just talking about that this weekend- actually Sam Adams was the one we wanted too! I didn't know if they would do that.

Re: Official Milleridge Thread!
hey ladies! I went to the Milleridge florist last night. Chris was great. Very talkative, but you could tell he loves his work & he was very helpful with the things I was undecided about as well of the things I knew I definitnely wanted. He even gave me some to take home!
I'm so excited about my flowers now! I am going back for a sample centerpice in a few weeks! I can't wait!
The village was so nice in the beautiful weather we had yestrday. It was snowing the last time I was there.
We also peeked into the Carriage House- tables were set up, but no one was in there. the tent outside was set up & looked so nice, litle chrismass lights were wrapped around the poles. The tables were set up with more than I'll have, & without a dancing area, but after coming from the florist, I could just picture everything & I started to get so excited! Four more months from today for me!

Re: Official Milleridge Thread!
Question for those of you who are using or have used the Milleridge Florist for your flowers - can you give me an estimate of how much they charge for bouquets, boutineres (sp?), etc?
Thanks!
ETS: Wow, I should probably read the posts before I reply to them! Tourist, glad to hear it went well with them, although I thought for some reason you weren't using Milleridge for your flowers. Anyway, if you wouldn't mind giving me an estimate, that would be wonderful. FM if you like.

Re: Official Milleridge Thread!
Hi, Eogara!
Sorry I didn't see this earlier. I orignally wasn't using the Milleridge Florist. I have to use Flower by Peter Kenney for my church, so I figured I'd make it easy & just do everything through one florist. But after I realized how expensive floweres were, I wanted to compare to the Milleridge.
I liked them a lot and will use them for bouquets, corsages, boutenieres & centerpices. I'll fm you with details.
