Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Mickey - I was told the Manor Room can hold 400 people.

Oh, and the percent for 'no' to expect is about 10%. So, either way, you should be good.

We are having our reception in the manor room. It holds 350 people. We wanted to invited between 250-300 people because we garenteed 250 people. Well we just wrote up our invite list and we have to invited 355 people. His parents list was 191 people I had to make her cut it down because if she didnt we would have had 425 people!!!!! My parents list was 80 and and the rest was our friends. My parents are paying towards the wedding and his arent. Most of the people on his parents list we didnt even know! I am going CRAZY with this invited list! I know that they say that a certain percent of the people you invite say no. Does anyone know what that percent is? Do you think the room will be very crowded if we have 300 people?

Hey past and future Wm brides. Quick question.....did anyone 'fudge' their final count. I have 3 photographers and only told them 2??? And did anyone under count in case guests didn't show up???? Thanks so much!

Yes and it was the best advice my dad gave me. We gave them four people less than our final count in case others didn't show up. We actually had 8 no shows so we didn't owe anything at the end of the night. There will almost always be someone that doesn't come after responding yes. Remember - after you give them the final number, you can always add but not subtract

I think it was about 2 months before the wedding that we went.

Okay thanks. I will just tell them the correct amount of vendors but then fudge the amount of guests by a few. Thanks!

FH & I picked out our menu last night ... the process wasn't so painful! LOL.

I think we are going to do a soup for the appetizer since it is winter!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

My question is to Wm Brides is where does the smaller party have their CH if I am using the library and garden room for mine, and manor room for reception? Are we going to all be on top of each other. IT's a friday night wedding, so i can't imagine if they book two affairs in one night, if i'll be occupying the rooms right by the other smaller room?? I'm confused..

Plus what do their menus look like? (plum color writing)??

I dont know anything about their menus. They didn't say they give them?? I made my own. I'llpost when I take a pic. I am in the garden room and the library too. We have the executive suite for the CH on the 2nd floor! It is really nice!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

they use the polo lounge the first room to your left (the samller room)....they seem to balance it out so ono one is on top of no one...we asked that question when we first went...we're in the manor room also. the smaller room just didn't seem spacious enough for us.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Usually the other cocktail room is upstairs. 14 at a table may be tight but it is doable. Good luck to all the brides!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Okay, I am starting to get pissed/confused. I just called Westbury to speak to my BM, and am told he is now at FoxHollow. This is absurd that they could have such major changes as mentioned in other threads and not tell us.

When I asked who my BM would be they said I can pick anyone.

Are there any other Westbury Manor brides that have a BM they would recommend who is actually there?
