Oh, no, My wedding ring is in trouble! UPDATE!

I had it tightened before we went on vacation so it doesn't slip off in the water. So, today I went back to have it loosened .25 a size to bring it back to the original size. They screwed it up and it lookes liked somebody cut it one spot and then did a really bad job putting it beck together. They asked me to leave it with them an pick it up at 4! ( it's jusy a regular plain band, no stones, so I did) I hope they fix it, I am so upset!

It;s a good thing I wore my -ring today, so at least i have somethign on my finger!

Wow- I was told they don't 'cut' it for sizing... that they melt & stretch... I'm sure they can fix it, especially after polishing! Let us know how it turns out

Shamma, I was waiting!

Also, the guy who did it was just going to go to lunch and his boss made him stay and do it (I felt bad).

Hopefully when he eats he does better! Men don’t operate well on empty stomachs!

for the future you can always get a ring guard instead of resizing.

Re: Oh, no, My wedding ring is in trouble! UPDATE!

YES< I GOT IT BACK AND IT'S BACK TO NORMAL!

But the owner said that the ring is not of very good quality becuase when it was made they didn't mold it correctly or something.

well, it's too late now! For our anniversary I may get a nice band with a few sparklies!

I love my simple band because it's so simple! even though it's not molded correctly!

Re: Oh, no, My wedding ring is in trouble! UPDATE!

The simple act of sizing and re-sizing a ring multiple times can weaken the band's integrity and overall strength. Instead of messing around with your wedding band just for a short vacation, buy a 'fashion jewelry' band from Macy's to wear while you travel and leave your real band home! JMO.

Re: Oh, no, My wedding ring is in trouble! UPDATE!

you are right, and I never would have sized it just for the vacation. I did want to make it a little smaller ever since the wedding but was always putting it off. When it was done i realized that I was much more comfortable before. Infact the .25 really made a huse difference and I couldn't even sleep in it anymore. So, back to original size it went and that's where it stays!
