Question - warning, may be TMI...... SORRY, JUST ADDED ANOTHER QUESTION, PLEASE READ..........

OK ladies - I'm on the pill, and I was suppossed to start my new pack this PAST Sunday.
Of course I hadn't realize I had no more refills, so I finally got the prescription yesterday.

I don't want to start it b/c last time I started so late and doubled up for like 4 days straight, I got sick as a dog

So my question is.....

Do you think I have a leeway of about another week or so before we have to start using condoms?
Or do we have to start right away?

Re: Question - warning, may be TMI......

I don't think its ok since you missed a few pills. I would call the dr and ask how long it will take for the pills to be effective now.

http://www.orthoevra.com/index.html

One of the newer ways to help you get the medicine you need is the transdermal - or 'through the skin' - patch. The ORTHO EVRA birth control patch delivers hormones directly through your skin and into your bloodstream. This may help eliminate some of the disadvantages associated with other birth control methods.

Re: Question - warning, may be TMI......

sorry, one missed pill is a baby waiting to be made I would never double up for 4 days in a row. I cannot imagine how sick you would get from that. I would just start next month again. But call your doctor and ask for advise also.

Re: Question - warning, may be TMI......

Thanks
Although I already know what the doctors answer will be. She'll yell at me and tell me to use the condoms or my diaphram

I stopped using the diaphram after it got 'stuck' one time. It was painful and DH had to help me get it out. OK - I'm sorry - I KNOW that one was TMI

But the condoms are irratating after not using them for so long. UGH>................ it's my own darn fault I suppose

Re: Question - warning, may be TMI......

LOL Jenn

I think it's b/c I really deep down wouldn't mind being preggo right now. Before I was married, I never had so many mishaps, now I keep forgetting, etc. .

DH doesn't seem to run for the condoms much either
I guess we're just comfortable

Re: Question - warning, may be TMI......

Definitely use condoms now, this is the perfect accident time. I think you would like the patch. Its much easier to remember and its the same medicine as in the pills so its no real difference for most people.
It seems you have a little baby fever that's making you absent minded. I think you and Len would make a cute little accident .

Re: Question - warning, may be TMI......

If condoms irritate you you may have a latex allergy. Just something you might want to look into.
