Favors for Kids

I am thinking about creating special favors for the children at our wedding. Any ideas?

I found this site with cute mini lunchboxes...

Re: Favors for Kids

I did a search and came up with all sorts of ideas. The main purpose being to keep the kids happy and occupied...

Here's what I found on WeddingChannel.com

A CHILD'S DELIGHT

Want to make your flower girl's eyes pop? A silver bud vase just isn't going to do it. Read through our list of favors for the youngest crowd.

* Pinwheels.
* Bicycle bells or horns.
* Kazoos.
* Bubble necklaces.
* Friendship bracelets.
* Barrettes or hair clips.
* Neon light necklaces.
* Bride and groom coloring books with crayons.
* Mini state flags.
* Plastic binoculars.
* Bags of marbles.

I also found another website that talks about favors for kids... WrappedinElegance.com that talks about seating kids at their own table (I would hire a babysitter but I'm not sure the little kids would want to be separated from their parents) and giving them disposible cameras to play with.

Here's the link...

Re: Favors for Kids

Since we are having a babysitter ( as I said in your other post) we will be having a 'kids' table for the older kids. I play on having things at the table they can do...coloring books, puzzles, games, etc. This way...they can keep busy and their parents can enjoy themselves.

These are too cute - do you think they have them in different colors?

Re: Favors for Kids

Is that a pic of the mini lunchbox? They only came in white on that site, but it gave me an idea to get lunchboxes personalized for the kids. I know a woman in Wantagh that does party favors and crafty stuff.

Re: Favors for Kids

Sincemy wedding is in October, 2 weeks before Halloween, I am goin to use the Plastic pumpkin thins that kids use for trick or treating...

I will have a 2 3/4 year old girl, 2-4 year old boys, and my flower girl will be 6 and a half by then.

I think I will put in sticker books with stickers, crayons and paper, (they hate coloring books) Play-doh, maybe matchbox cars for the boys, possibly the $4.99 barbies (no frills) for the girls, will have to see what else I can come up with...

Re: Favors for Kids

We had little bags for the kiddies - with toys, crayons and other goodies to keep them busy. They were great!

Re: Favors for Kids

We're doing hand held games too. If you go at the right time, they are on sale and not expensive.

Re: Favors for Kids

I am hoping to put together some sort of bag filled with things to keep them busy during the day. I also want the bag to be reuseable!
