Does anyone know of any artists who do oil paintings from pictures??

I am looking for a good one for a christmas gift but cant seem to find any. Any ideas would be sooo appreciated!

Plus, would you like to receive an oil painting of a loved one or a charcoal painting which are beautiful as well??

My husbands grandfather passed away in Januart. One of his clients knew how upset he was and asked him for his favorite picture. He gave him a pic of his grandfather holding our son when he was 4 days old. This older lady in Bed - Sty Brooklyn painted a replica of the picture with oil paint. This not only touched my husband but our whole family when they saw it. If you like I will have him ask his client for her name and number. If you want to see it, I can scan a photo of the painting into the computer.

My FMIL had this done of my neice and she had to have it sent over seas. I can find out what she paid and where she sent it when I see her later. I thought it would look cheesey, but it looks REALLY nice. I would definitely do it.
