What do you WW people eat for Breakfast?

I am posting this for Danielle. She was on WW, and now she doesnt know if she should stick with it or go on Atkins, SBD, or a low carb diet instead.

She is a teacher and she usually eats her breakfast in the car on the way to work. She usually eats an apple or some rice cakes, and finds that she is hungry a little while after she eats but cannot get anything to eat until lunch time.

She also finds that she is hungry during the day and in the evening.

What are some of things you guys eat for Breakfast, and do you have any ideas on what Danielle can eat that will fill her up and not use up all her points for the rest of the day.

Thanks

Re: What do you WW people eat for Breakfast?

WWSmartones has breakfast sandwiches (egg mcmuffin-type of thing) and muffins... choc choc chip so rich you won't believe its only 3 points, and very filling. Or yogurt. Fat-free is usually only 2 points. Or, if she's willing to eat at hoome, egg white omeletes. 3 or 4 whites is 1 point. Add low fat cheese, or veggies. Delish! Good luck.

Re: What do you WW people eat for Breakfast?

Trader Joe's has some really great low-point, fiber rich foods to fill up on during the day. They have blueberry muffins that are 1 point each in the bread area, puffins cinnamon cereal which is 1 point for 3/4 of a cup . . .

Also they have a really yummy parmesan ranch salad dressing that is 1 point for 4 tablespoons.

I will normally have 1-2 servings of the cereal for breakfast (no milk- just to munch on) or a muffin and a serving of cereal.

For lunch I will normally have a salad with 2 oz. of boars head chicken, turkey, or ham, some low fat shredded cheese, and the ranch dressing.

I try to leave AT LEAST 12 points for dinner. That way, I still can eat a descent dinner and not feel too hungry at night.

Re: What do you WW people eat for Breakfast?

I have a breakfast routine that I really like and I think it would work on the go- I eat a Stonyfield Farm yogurt (2 points) first. Then, about 1-2 hours later, I eat a Polly-O Lite string cheese (1 point). It really fills me up until lunch. If I am starving before lunch, I will have 1/2 of a Pria or WW bar and save the other 1/2 for dessert after lunch. The cheese is the key for me- it is filling, protien only, and only 1 point! You could even have 2 and it would still be good for you!

I like having 3-4 points for breakfast, 5-6 for lunch, 2 for snack, then the rest for dinner and dessert (always a MUST)!

Re: What do you WW people eat for Breakfast?

I usually have a Western Bagel (1 point) but if she is eating in her car a great breakfast is the Cinnamon Kasha Cereal it is not that many points and it is great dry. It is a lot of fiber so keeps you feeling satsified for a long time. I usually carry a sandwich bag with some in it if I am in the car and get hungry!
All the Kasha Cereals are good dry if she doesn't like Cinnamon.

Thanks, I went to Trader Joes this weekend and I bought the Puffin Cinammon cereal that is 1 point per 3/4 of a cup.

I also bought the low fat blueberry muffins which are 1 point. I havent tried them yet, but I did try the cereal, and its really good.

Thanks for the recommendations.

Re: What do you WW people eat for Breakfast?

I think they are their own brand. They are smaller muffins- not the big ones. I believe they are blueberry bran. They are the only blueberry mini muffin they have in the bread area. I believe there is a larger muffin for more points . . .

Re: What do you WW people eat for Breakfast?

There are 6 or 8 mini muffins in a package. I found them right next to the cereal section on a rack in the middle of the isle.

Any other breakfast ideas?

Re: What do you WW people eat for Breakfast?

I have been doing WW too and found that if I eat protein in the morning I can go until lunch. I usually have 1/2 cup of egg beaters or egg whites on a light english muffin with either morningstar fake sausage or Boorshead Virginia ham it is only 3 pts total and it can be wrapped up in alumminum foil and eaten in the car!
