Long Island Cruise Weddings

Has anyone ever had or been to a wedding on a boat/ship. Apparently there are some that leave from Freeport (Nautical Mile) and sail around Long Island. There is also another that leaves from Port Washington and sails to the Statue of Liberty giving guests a fabulous view of the NYC skyline.

Has anyone ever been to a wedding like this, or researched a wedding like this? I think this may be the way I want to go, but I'd like some 'testimonials'!

Any comments are appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Long Island Cruise Weddings

I went to one that left Manhattan and and it really wasn't one of the best wedding I have been to. Is there anyway you can taste test the food, or see how they set the ship up. The ship I went on was way to small and the dance floor was on a different deck than the dining room, so they rushed dinner and then had very few chairs around the dance floor for people who didnt or couldnt dance. I hope this helps.

I posted this last month. I booked this for our conference, but they do weddings too.

Re: Long Island Cruise Weddings

Another thing that is nice is Danfords is right there, great place to have guests stay and maybe brunch the next day. Port Jefferson is fun and pretty. The 2 woman who I dealt with are really nice, Christine and Laurie.

I can't wait for our conference so I can go on the dinner cruise.

Re: Long Island Cruise Weddings

Hi, we LOVED our wedding aboard the Nautical Belle.

Nautical Cruise Lines was so great to work with, I dealt with John in there office. I planned the wedding from California and they were so helpful with anything I needed. On the wedding day they have a very helpful staff to keep things flowing.

And there are really 'no hidden' fees in the pricing structure.

I'll post an official review with photos soon, I promise.

Oh, and Freeport is such a cute town, we were there a couple days prior to the wedding and loved checking out all the neat places to go on the Nautical mile.

Re: Long Island Cruise Weddings

My friends did this and their boad left from NJ. The boat was nice but the food not so good (that is putting it nicely) I can't remember the name of the company.
