OMG, I just can't believe some people! (long)

Okay, here's the story. At the beginning of August, I won a Karaoke contest. Fluke thing, really. I hadn't even wanted to enter. But I figured if I was gonna do it, I might as well do it right. The 'prize' was a 'weekend get-away' which happened to be for a time share. Yeah, you get the free hotel, but then you have to spend time being sold to. Whatever.

Anyway, there were two other semi-finalists who I beat. One was cool, didn't have an issue. But this other girl was HEARTBROKEN for losing. She left the bar in tears. I felt really bad for her - I've lost contests plenty of times. I would have still felt bad for her if she hadn't had all her friends complain at the Karaoke Jock that the contest was fixed and that she had deserved to win. She has a lovely voice, but her performance was flat. That's why I won, according to the people I spoke to afterwards.

So I stopped going to this place frequently because I was always getting dirty looks from this girl's friends, and just didn't need the BS.

I went back in there tonight with my friend, and when I was about to sing a second song for the night (Martina McBride's Valentine, which I only kinda know but want to learn), I noticed she was there. My friend told me that the entire time I was singing she was giving me dirty looks. And then she came up to give the KJ a slip, and rolls her eyes at me behind my back! Honey, I won that contest 4 months ago. Can't you find anything better to be angry about? For goodness' sake I would have GIVEN her the 'prize'! Once I lost a contest where the prize was $100 cash, by ONE POINT. I lost to a friend, who happens to be one of my Bridesmaids! It sucked that I lost, but whatever! I'd rather have that $100! LOL

Anyway, just wanted to vent.

next time you see her ask her what she is looking at? Sometimes people act all brazen etc until they realize that you know what they are doing.......and then they feel stupid!!!
