Childcare Dilemna
The person that usually picks Brandon up from the after school program just informed me that she will be having MAJOR surgery in February that requires a 3 - 4 months convalescence period. My job is being less than understanding about me taking flex time (I get docked for leaving early)
I am basically looking for someone 2 - 3 days a week at most from 5:30 - 7:30.
HELP
ETA: We live in Ronkonkoma, Brandon is 11, and someone who drives is preferred

Re: Childcare Dilemna
Michelle that's unfair you are getting docked.
I work with someone who gets to leave at 4:30 every day to pick up her son from daycare. Maybe you can talk to HR?I hope you find someone.

Michelle lives in Suffolk Phyl so your nanny is probably not going to be able to help her.Michelle-thankfully you have notice and I hope you find someone new. Can you try Suffolk Community College? They have an early childhood development program there. Maybe a student is looking for job?

Re: Childcare Dilemna
Michelle-if you get really stuck, I'll take him for you. I can't commit to the whole time but I'll help you out till you get someone. I can only do Mondays & Tuesdays-I'll pick him up & he can come home with me till you get home(we're almost neighbors anyway).Sometimes I have errands to do, but he can come with me if that's ok with you. Now that my son works & is a teenager I don't get to hang out with him-so me & Brandon can be pals!
