Ordering flowers online/over the phone

Hi ladies -

I need to send some Christmasy flowers to my dad in Florida - who should I use? Any preferences?

Any others?

IMO, if you want to save on shipping and have a better variety I would try to call a local florist by his house.

my suggestion would be not to use any....they overcharge and there have been a few times at funerals that people that did not attend sent flowers through them...and they never showed up (most grieving don't pay too close attention to this - but my mom's friend asked her if the flowers were nice/fresh - and my BILs parents sent flowers and my BIL was there and he couldn't find them - 2 separate funerals)

IMHO to get the best flower delivery...find a local florist in the area you would like to send...and order directly over the phone...avoid the middle man...

I have used 1800Flowers.com and had no problems. They had a very good selection.

PROFLOWERS!!!

I love them!! They have absolutely the most amazing flowers ever because they are so fresh.

My advice .. have them delivered a day or so before you would want them at their peak. Because they come so fresh .. they need a day or two to open up and look their prettiest.

Proflowers sends fresh from the farm .. other places send from local florists .. so the flowers aren't as fresh.

Trust me .. we went through so many of the online places .. and Proflowers is without question THE BEST for FRESH!!

Sorry if I sound like an advertisement for them .. but that's just how strongly I feel about them.

And they do not overcharge .. you can get arrangements for $29.99 .. and they always have specials .. like a free vase, etc.

My personal favorite is www.calyxandcorolla.com They have exquisite flowers and truly perfect customer service... they may be a bit above average in price, but it's well worth it. They have SO much to chose from and even hard to find stuff.

that would make sense..i know many flowers are send through the mail...good to know

1800 flowers is the most expensive of the 3 .. i'd choose from one of the other two ... ive sent flowers with both

Totally agree!!! Steve always sends me flowers from them and they atre soooo fresh and they always last at least a week sometimes longer
