Re: Past and Presnt Aruba honeymooners

I have stayed at the La Cabanna, Radisson & Wyndham.

I love the Radisson the best. Most hotels in Aruba are nice and you really can't go wrong

Re: Past and Presnt Aruba honeymooners

we stayed at what is now called the Renaissance hotel it is in a busy part pf Aruba. Plenty of things to do. There is a small boat that comes into the hotel and takes u to the hotels PRIVATE beach. There is a casino next door, if u are into gambling. And there is this awesome club/restaurant across the street right next to where the ships dock. GOODLUCK.

Re: Past and Presnt Aruba honeymooners

I just got back from my honeymoon there on 12/17...we stayed at the Marriott...which is beautiful...however, if we could do it over again, we'd DEFINITELY stay at the Hyatt. In my opinion, it was the most beautiful of the 3 major high rises (Marriott, Radisson and Hyatt).

The hotel was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially at night...and they have a slide in the pool too!!!

One of the restaurants there...the Ruinas Del Mar...was one of my favorites!!! It's gorgeous and voted the most romantic on the island. It's on a pond in the middle of the hotel and there are even swans that swim by you...oh, I just can't even explain...you should go see it for yourself!

No matter where you stay though, you'll have a WONDERFUL time.

FM me if you'd like some more info!

Re: Past and Presnt Aruba honeymooners

If you want another opinion read on:

My DH and I HM over a year ago in Aruba and loved it! We did book it last minute ( we were going to wait for our HM b/c we are both teachers getting married during the school year and didn't want to take the time off then)and didn't have much choice about where to stay and I couldn't care less since I was tired, cranky and just wanted to be married already! Well We were able to get the Holiday Inn which was nice, but the rooms were just OK nad needed updating- we didn't spend much time in the hotel room and layed on the beach most of the time so it wasn't a big deal to me or my DH. The beach there was nice but we did check out the other hotels, which were a lot nicer. The one good thing about the Holiday Inn Beach was that is was very close to the hotel and you didn't have to walk a ways to get to it. I think I do prefer the beach at teh Holiday inn. We ate out every night (PS- you have to eat at the Flying Fishbone at sunset!- a definate MUST!) but the food at the HI was fine. I would probably have chosen another hotel if we had more time/choices but it wasn't that bad. We literally booked it in a week.

Best of luck to you and your FH!

Lora
