Little Bear Cub or Little Piggy???

Took my little gavone to the dr on Friday for her shots, which I'm proud to say she didn't cry that much for at the office, but made up for it later on. Her father, on the other hand, almost threw up and the dr had to ask him how he was!

Didn't get her ears pierced because of the shots, so that's scheduled for January 8 and they way my MIL talks, you would think I'm setting her up for torture!!!

And the little piggy, I mean Bear Cub, weighs 14 lbs. 6 oz and is 24 3/4' long!!! The nurse wrote down 29 3/4' and I was hysterical laughing saying that we had the Jolly Green Giant as a baby!!!

She's gained exactly 7 lbs. since she came home from the hospital!!!! God bless her Similac!!!!

And she started rice cereal on Sat and seems to love it! She got all excited when she saw me with the bowl this morning and opened her mouth before I had the spoon ready!!!

How cute

When they weighted my little butterball when we went Saturday he was 16lbs 4 oz. He is a tubby boy!!! I asked if I should be concerned and my Dr. said if he is being just BF its not a problem and totally normal.


Hopefully we can start cereal too soon. I will make an appt. today(our third trip since he got sick) for a well visit for 4 month shots an hopefully the go ahead for cereal

Another butterball!!! They are so cute with the rolls!!! Especially on their legs!!!

He has broncolitis(sp) He has a horrible cough that started of course on Christmas Eve. We took him to the Dr. on Friday and they gave him 2 nebulizer treatments in the office and then they had a nebulizer delivered to us and we have to do them every 4 hours. I even have to wake him from sleep which is wonderful at 4 in the morning. We go back today at 1:30. He still sounds bad to me though At least he is in good spirits

HOW CUTE, these little chubsy babies! I LOVE EM !! I love squeezing the rolls on the legs too. JA has them a little bit and I squeeze them and say 'there not gonna be here much longer' He seems to be getting that big boy look some days..

Stacey -- I hope he's feeling better!! The poor thing! How horrible to be that little and feel that bad and as a mother, you have no idea how to soothe them!! She was screaming from her shot and I felt like crying myself (I did the last time) with her because I didn't know how to calm her down!!! Big hugs and kisses to Damien!

Camille -- I had a feeling the dr wouldn't do both at the same time!! I was glad he didn't because I knew she'd be totally miserable. As for our MIL's -- not for nothing but what kills me is everytime she has to get a shot she says something to the effect that I'm torturing the poor kid -- HELLO, DID YOU NOT HAVE A CHILD YOURSELF AND GET HIM SHOTS?????? I always say, in a pleasant voice, 'Gianna, tell Grandma that if you don't get your shots, you'll get sick' and leave it at that!!! Hmppfff, the nerve!

When Mia 'fusses' my MIL says 'are you sure the backs of those earrings aren't sticking her?' Hello they have been pierced since she was 3 months old and she's now 5 months and let's not forget that I am nursing! which means her head is alway buried in the crook of my arm.

Oh btw, Mia got sick over the weekend and we took her to the doctor on Saturday and she had a temp of 102.5 her fever has broken (thank god) and she is much better today....and the MIL says I should keep her in the house for now on, that she didn't take her kids out and they NEVER got sick!

Well the only one who was sick when holding her is HER! I refuse to keep my child in the house, fresh air is the best thing in the world for them IMO

Camille, LMAO over the never taking the kids out of the house statement!!! I swear, they are out of their minds!!! When I was home, I would take her out all the time walking and his grandmother used to say it was too 'chilly' to be out and I said that the fresh air is the best thing for her!!! And when I started working she would say 'if it's bad out tomorrow, you leave her here'! She's not going to melt!!!

Aw, poor Mia!! Is she better now? The poor little cookie face!!!!

Yes Deb, she is better ...that was her first 'real' sickness with the fever and all, she whimpered like a puppy dog she was so out of it, I couldn't do nothing for her except nurse her. It doesn't help that she is teething as well.

She is still getting her cough medicine every 6 hours and it diffinitely seems to be helping because it's drying up her running nose. My little girl, I can't wait to get home to give her hugs and kisses!!!!! Thank god I'm off this Thursday and Friday! Hey we'll get together as soon as the weather gets nicer Just kidding!! anytime is good for us!!!

How was Mia's first Christmas? Did you MIL go crazy w/gifts? I told everyone not to go crazy because she has no clue and most importantly, I HAVE NO ROOM FOR IT ALL!!! And I have to give my MIL credit, she didn't go crazy, but she got p-o'd when his father came over with all these gifts!!! She actually said to me 'didn't you tell him?' with an attitude!!! Like it's a friggin competition!! Who CARES????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I said the same thing...PLEASE NO MORE TOYS I have no more room, I wanted gift cards!!! Well I got toys anyway and I asked MIL to get her a toy box and she winded up getting me a hope chest...4 1/2 feet long, okay it's really nice, but again where am I going to find room for it??

Honestly, the thought of taking down this tree and putting everything away makes me nauseous!! I told Joe to get ready to start throwing more of our stuff out to make room for her's!!! Our closets are being taken over by little Miss Gianna, who has more clothes then her mommy and daddy put together!!!

The hopechest sounds really nice!! I was thinking last night about buying a rubbermaid or a toychest for all the stuff -- Joe seems to think the swing is it when she's not in it!!
