Fm me if you want some help I have been to VW a number of times and I know a lot of the dresses - the way she designed her new site though you can't copy the pictures really and honestly the pics look NOTHING like the dresses everytime we looked at dresses online you almost don't recognize them in the photos since they look NOTHING like them in person.

Both my BM's and my mother ended up buying vera wang dresses

Why the sad face and the desperation?
Have you visited Vera Wang's website? I have seen a ton of dresses and looked into every manufacturer and my favorites are by far Lazaro and Vera Wang. The Vera Wang salon in the city carries the entire line and the Wedding Salon of Manhasset has many. Let me know if you are looking for a specific dress and I will see if I can find a picture.

Thanks so much. But that is not the dress. It is a v neck with ties at the shoulder. The fabric is crepe backed satin. There is a pic on VW's site, but it is awful and I can't copy it. I was hoping to find a better picture of it.

I know exactly which one you are talking about. I'll look and see if I can get a pic. That dress is gorgeous by the way. I am actually thinking of ordering it in red for a wedding I am attending this summer.

Yes, I've tried on that exact dress (in black) at the Wedding Salon! It is gorgeous and the material is exquisite.

I tried it on today at the salon! Do you think the picture looks like the actual dress?

I am not crazy about my color options. I did not really want a 'color.' I think I am going to end up with black, brown, or plum.

What do you think?

I actually think the dress looked better in person than it does in the pic, the material is so beautiful and that doesn't come across in a picture. In person it looked very elegant, sophisticated and nonbridesmaidsy. I think the color pictured is a good alterantive to black, but I'd really have to see it in person. I am probably going with a different Vera in satin, I originally wanted to order black, but have recently been thinking about a dark, deep purplish color, I will make that decision when I have the swatches in front of me. I also want an elegant, classy color and I certainly never thought I would be considering anything in the purple family, but I think the risk will pay off. A dark chocolate brown is also also nice and that is a great color for fall, I also like dark silver or charcoal. Ohhhh, and a merlot color in that dress would be gorgeous as well.
OK, i am going to stop babbling now.

The dress is gorgeous, no doubt about it, but one question...do all your BMs have a small chest? Similar figures?

Its funny you ask about a small chest.

When I was at the salon, I did not even see the dress. Another bunch of girls fell in love with it for their wedding, but was not sure how it would look on their other (absent) friend who has a large chest. Overhearing them, I offered to try it on for them because I have a DD chest.

Once I put it on, I (and they) really liked it. I knew that it was a contender. My BMs all are B chested.

They were $295 and $75 for alterations. I only have three BMs. Money isn't an issue for them.

I just wanted to say i think its a blast you took pics from the computer!!! LOL! Centereach bridal actually ordered me a sample of my BM dress that i wanted for the girls to try on!
