wedding gift etiquette
We were invited to a friends wedding in Oct 03' which was out of town and on the same weekend as a family wedding on LI, which we went to.I left the responsiblity of sending a wedding gift to my DH....He never sent it. (he told me he has a year to send them a gift, which is true, but I feel horrible). What type of gift should we send.
(They came to our wedding, which was 7 months before theirs - They are originally from LI - I think she even had a bridal shower here, while they were up)

Re: wedding gift etiquette
You could do anything but a check for lesser the amount, I think.

Re: wedding gift etiquette
I voted for gift off of registry because I hate giving friends money. I think that because you didn't go to the wedding, you don't have to give as expensive of a gift. I've already received a few gifts from people who cannot come to the wedding and I thought they spent too much money. It was very generous of them, though and we certainly appreciate it!
