Anyone stayed at RENAISSANCE ARUBA BEACH RESORT (formerly Sonesta)
Any good? I noticed it's at the end of the hotel strip--is it far away from everything else. Are things in walking distance or you need a taxi or bus?

I was hoping for a post too. We're planning our honeymoon there - we went to In & Out Travel and they said wonderful things about the resort. It would be great to hear a review also if anyone has one!:)

I went to In and out travel as well and they recommended The Renaissance as well...We were debating between the Wyndam and Radison..I would love some feedback as well, we are going back Jan 17th to put a deposit down on something!!

I have not stayed, but the hotel looks beautiful on the web site. We opted against staying there because it is not directly on the beach, it's in the city Oranjestad. They have their own private beach and a boat that takes you to the beach whenever you want to go.It all depends on what you are looking for.

I DID !!! I DID!!!! Yes it is in the city, however we had a BLAST!!!!!! our hotel had a casino attached. The hotel has a PRIVATE beach. you show your room key and there is a boat that comes DIRECTLY INTO the hotel and picks you up. it passes under the street, kind of like those gondala (sp?) rides. There is 2 parts to the beach. We went on sight seeing tours, which we saw ALOT. The ships dock across the street, the lights at night are beautiful. And there is a club/restaurant called charlie's I think but it is not far. We had such a good time there everyone was dancing and eating and they played this drinking game that was hilarious. We went to the other side of aruba where the other hotels were and we were happier on our side. The hotel has a spa that I went to, the lady had to wake me up after the massage! LOL I don't think you would be dissapointed.Welcome New Vendors
