Other nassau photo locations?

Besides Westbury Gardens, where else can we go for pictures. Don't have photographer yet, just wondering.

Church is in Massapequa, reception in Jerricho.
(Haven't lived on LI for a while now)

I have a secret to tell you! The SUNY Farmingdale Rose Garden is great!
It is only about 75 bucks for 2 hours and you are the only bridal party allowed in. If it rains you get all your money back! Our wedding was Sept 27, 2002 and all the flowers were amazing!
Our mass was at St. Kilians in Farmingdale and reception was at the Imperial Manor in Bethpage so it was a pefect location for us!

If your in Massapequa, you should try the flower garden at Marjorie Post Park. How about the EAB Plaza?

Marjorie Post park has too much bird poop...too messy to walk around..

EAB plaza has a fee to take pictures there..

I'm in the same boat.. i'm looking for a place to take pictures as well that doesnt have messy grounds or a fee..

Hofstra is the only one that I can think off that is free & clean..

Thanks also for the SUNY Farmingdale Tip--that sounds perfect! I'm ok with a resonable fee if there is a rain refund.

What is EAB like. I remeber going to see the Christmas tree as a child & there was thant indoor hot house like part, but inlater years it was roped offf? Is that where you go, but only if you have a reservation?
EAB & Hofstra might be too far out of the way.

Hofstra is a great idea for me, because I'm getting married on a Yacht that leaves from Queens, so I need to head west. I was hoping the photographer has some ideas. I haven't selected on yet.

One more thing- how do you find out about reservatoins for a college campus?

I would avoid EAB plaza unless you really can't find anywhere else. They let a bunch of bridal parties in at one time and I heard that you basically have to fight with the other brides for spots because there are no designated areas like at Westbury or Vanderbelt--and they charge you for that! Every photographer I asked about that place said it's a nightmare and to try and stay away!

I heard CW Post also has a very nice Arboretum. Argyle Park is nice--don't know about the duck poop there though.

I took mine at Oyster Bay Arboretum.

Definetely Planting Fields Arbaretum in Oyster Bay. jenn-you are right--it is heaven on earth!! We got engaged there and try to make a trip there every time the seasons change to see the new flowers!! It's BEAUTIFUL!!

SUNY Farmingdale is a very well kept secret. Beautiful flowers and gardens.

We are doing our pics @ CW POST, since our ceremony is there. Kinda the same architecture as the Planting Fields.

EAB is kinda gross. No offense to anyone, but it is sooo humid in that place, your hair will go nuts (@ least mine would) and it's just not that pretty. it's a bank hahahah

Marjorie Post is in Massapequa? And what about CW Post? Is that on the North shore?

Argyle Park is nice but there is quite a bit of duck poop there (and ducks!). It's a public park so there are always people around, as well as other bridal parties. If you can watch your step, it's nice!

I happen to work @ a photo studio and once I was working a wedding where they went to CW Post for pictures and the grounds are really beautiful...the pictures came out great.
