Re: crescent beach club in bayville
we just went to a wedding there this past july. I must be honest and say that I think my friend 'cheesed' out a little as far as the menu and stuff went because @ the cocktail hour there was absolutely no food. maybe one passing au'dorves (sp?) , if that. they did a buffet, i remember there being a lot of choices. the banquet room is very pretty, with the tooling strung across the ceiling (just be careful, when my friend went to throw her boquet, it got caught up there!) lol but the service was good, I think it has a lot of potential, but my friend didn't really put a ton of effort into it! KathleenG is getting married there this sept, she might have more details! it's great for pics though! and i think i read recently that they are renovating it now. good luck!!

Re: crescent beach club in bayville
thanks for the info- when i went there they give you a choice of 8 passed horderves and three hot stations and all this other stuff- maybe its just what she picked to keep the cost down-they are doing a remodel and the renderings they have look beautiful

I went to a wedding there 2 years ago...in May. Honestly...I don't remember the food...but the views were breathtaking! When we started looking at places...this was out of our range $$$$$...but beautiful!

I booked The Crsecent and although I haven't had a tasting yet, their menu is the best I saw (I went to 15 places, not all in LI.) There's very little, if anything, you would want to add and their chefs are restaurant chefs, not catering hall chefs, which impressed me. Instead of having 'tastings' with a few couples in the restaurant, they have you come in while there's a wedding similar in size to your own, and they bring you out plates so you can taste the food mass-produced.

Re: crescent beach club in bayville
We're getting married at Crescent, April 30th. It's getting soooooo close & I'm getting VERY excited
I've read different things here about poor service in planning (not returning calls, rude people answering phones, etc.) but I can't understand why cause we have had the most pleasant experience with them. Our plan is to get married there there out in the sun (I'm crossing my fingers). I love hearing good things about the place, like people praising the views & the food. I've never been there for a wedding but now it's become our fav. restaurant! Has anyone seen it with the new renovations?

The renovations aren't done yet, though they were supposed to be. Aparently they're running a little behind schedule and are supposed to finish around the end of March, early April. You should check on the status since your wedding is next month.
