Things to ask before signing caterer contract TONIGHT

What should I ask? What are the 'what if's?' like...what if guests arrive early, what if the bride is late...what if the chef gets sick? I dont know what questions to ask. What should I get in writing BEFORE signing?

Re: Things to ask before signing caterer contract

here are some questions:
Cancelation policy (for both parties) we canceled because our place went chapter 11
how are the guests welcomed.....do they just linger in the lobby or are they welcomed in with champagne and truffles.
if two weddings are at your site.....how do you make this day special so I do not know another bride is there
where are the bathrooms are they just for my party
how early may I get here with my BP (may want to get there earlier to take pictures. my friends wedding we had to hang out in the limo)
when do i have to giv ethe final head count.
do i have to use your vendors?
can't think of more....maybe others can help

Re: Things to ask before signing caterer contract

Be sure your church is ok for that day, provided it's in a church.

Price for children under 12
Price for DJ, Photo, Video people

Try to get everything promised to you written out, if it is not explicitly in the contract.

Cancellation policy, brands of liquor(if you're so inclined)

* Get your rental hours and the name of your room in writing.

* Remember: no question is too stupid to ask and has probably been asked many times before. It is the unasked questions that become the ones you wished you had asked.

All I can find or think of. But at least it's a bump.
