question about photo/video montage

question about photo/video montage

ok- here it goes- last night i went to meet with a videographer and we started discussing playing a video/photo montage at the beginning of the reception. now i was under the impression that it should all be pics of me and my fh. my mom on the otherhand thinks that pics of the family should be included. ok- the thing is is that they say you should play about 8 pics of you and 8 pics of fh growing up. then 8 pics of you together. then, we actually have our engagement on dvd so we would end the montage with that. am i being unreasonable by wanting all the pics of us, or should family pics be included. any and all responses will be appreciated- at the moment i am fuming at my mother!! thanks!

Maybe include one of the 8 pictures of each of you with your families. That should make your mom happy and I don't think it would take away from you and your FH.

I think the focus should definitely be on you and your FH, but there's no harm in letting the family be in some of the childhood photos. I don't think there should be any family pictures without the two of you.

Definitely have most of both of you but a family shot of each of you with your families wouldn't be a bad idea. Pick and choose your battles. There will be many!

BTW, I have been to two affairs at OJC and had a great time at both. As I posted on another thread I liked it so much that my wedings is at EMJC, as you probably know, same caterer.
