Italy Honeymoon Question

My fiance & I always put Italy in the back of our minds for our honeymoon b/c we're getting married in November & always thought it would be too cold. However, I recently heard that parts of Italy are quite pleasant that time of year (approx. 60-65 degrees). We would love to visit Tuscany & the Amalfi Coast. I am not a sun worshipper & actually prefer when the weather is a bit cooler (although if there is a ton of rain in November I may reconsider). Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Re: Italy Honeymoon Question

Hi, I'm not a travel agent, but I saw your question and just thought maybe I could give my two cents. Our family went to Italy last year in February and we too, worried about the weather, would it be too cold to go out and sightsee, etc. Well, all I can tell you was that it was absolutely wonderful to go at that time of year. There were still lines going into major tourist attractions such as the vatican and St. Peters and when I asked the guide how it is in the summer, she remarked to us, that it is sheer torture, mobs everywhere. It was cold at night walking to restaurants, but we even went to hillside towns like Spoletto and Lucca and in the day it was like 55-65 and when the sun was out it was beautiful. What Italy has to offer is well worth any slight discomfort you may have with weather. It is the most wonderful place to tour around. We went to Milan, Florence, Lucca, Spoletto, Pisa, Rome, and Venice. We didn't do the Amalfi coast only because a lot of the resorts close down at that time of year, so I can't report on that. But my advice would be go for it, you won't be disappointed! Hope this helped a little
