Coming to NYC this weekend...let me know if you want to come with me to see an awesome band!
Hi ladies! I'll be up in NY (from DC) this coming weekend and am going to check out my friend Melanie's AWESOME band, called Sirsy play at The Bitter End in the Village Friday night at 9:30. Anyone want to join me??

Shift at Radio Station - 6a-9a.As for A Capella, I thought it WAS an a capella show! LOL
If you'll still be in the area Saturday, we could go to breakfast after my shift?

What station?The band is called Sirsy, and, no it's not a cappella. But they are awesome and I think you'd like them. They play in NYC a lot, so if you get a chance, check out their website at http://www.sirsy.com and maybe check them out next time they are in town. Hey, maybe you can even plan one of their songs on your radio station, if you do?!
Breakfast Saturday doesn't work, unfortuantely, as I'll be in a conference from 8 am until 5 pm. But I am probably meeting up with some friends later Sat night, if you're interested...

FM, Alison.I'm on Party 105, but only as a board operator. That means that if you're ever awake at 6am - 9 am on a Saturday and you listen to Party 105, I'm the girl who's playing Hollywood Hamilton's Weekend top 30, and the commercials/promos between the segments. That doesn't give me any leeway for playing ANYTHING that's not part of the countdown.
Interestingly enough, even if I were a jock, I wouldn't have any say in what gets played, sadly. Maybe one day, when I'm a Music Director!!!

Ah...got it. Well, I am usually up BY 8 or 9 am on Sat, but since I don't live in NY, I doubt I'd ever hear your show. In any case, I bet you'd like my friend's band...and ya never know...one of these days someone may ask you for a suggestion of a great new band to debut on the station.
