House Hunters & Homeowners..is it worth it?
I would like opinions - I saw a house I wanted to make an app't to see, it is $25K out of our price range, is it worht it to go see it - has anyone evre bid this much below asking price? I really like it but don't want to waste anyones time?

DEF not a waste of time.. Most homeowners know that their homes are overpriced.. DEF bring a broker with you that can feel out how low they can go..

I agree, it's worth it. We initially bid $49K below asking price. We ultimately had to meet in the middle but it was about 20K below what they wanted. You never know... Sometimes it's the ones you don't think will pan out that do! Let us know what happensedited to add: But always be prepared to walk away, dont let them make you bid up beyond what you want to spend.

Yep, go see it. Depending upon how long its been on the market, they may be willing to come down way more than that.

absolutely give it a shot! Every seller is in a different position - some need to sell and will do it at any cost - some won't budge.Good luck!

my sister was able to low bid by almost $70K b/c the people were desperate to move...(they had one bid fall through)
