Hi, I'm new to the site and was wondering what you guys think about the Fox Hollow

hi, I'm new to the site (though i've been watching from the sidelines for a while) and I was wondering what you guys think about the Fox Hollow? We are having around 150 so it'll be in the smaller room with the atrium room for the CH. Has anyone been to a wedding in those room? (was the reception room kinda dark?) Thanks!

Hi, I am getting married there in 2 weeks. We are having our Cocktail hour in the Winter Garden and the reception in the briar fox. I have only heard wonderful things about the Fox Hollow! YOu should really consider them.

Re: Hi, I'm new to the site and was wondering what you guys think about the Fox Hollow

Hi! Welcome to the boards! I am biased because I am getting married at another Scotto location, but I think you made a great choice. I have been to several weddings there and they all were fantastic. They all were in the large room. It was because of the last wedding that FI and I went to there that when we got engaged he said he wanted to start by looking at all the Scotto places. He was so impressed by everything! Good Luck!

Hi! Welcome! I've been there for several weddings and never had a complaint! I would have considered getting married there myself, but my girlfriend is before me and I didn't want to do the same thing.

Re: Hi, I'm new to the site and was wondering what you guys think about the Fox Hollow

i also looked at fox hollow and my guest list is about 150-175...i would have gotten the same rooms for ch and reception like you...i loved the winter garden room, i thought it was beautiful, but was not crazy about the reception room (can't remember the name) since it seemed dark...fh's co-worker had his reception there and was not that pleased with it...it is like being in the basement

I'm getting married at another Scotto facility, and I am so glad I am!

They're the best!

(oh, if you go with Fox Hollow, Westbury Manor, or Chateau Briand - make sure to meet with their in-house florist Chris - He's the BEST!)

Re: Hi, I'm new to the site and was wondering what you guys think about the Fox Hollow

If you keep your guest list to around 130 instead of 150, you could have your reception in the atrium room (Winter Garden) and your CH hour either outside or in the restaurant, which isn't as dark as the small room.
Just a thought!

Re: Hi, I'm new to the site and was wondering what you guys think about the Fox Hollow

This was one of the top choices on our list. The things that keep it from being top 3 are:

Bridal Suite on the 3rd floor
Having to deal with the catering manager we got, who we don't like at all
FW's mother and father ate there for Valentine's day and said the food was just ok at best.
We were told we could not have a food tasting, to go pay and eat at the resturant instead

I agree! All of their rooms are beautiful, but I am partial towards the Winter Garden because that’s where I’m having my reception too! IMO, and from what I’ve heard from people I know and on these boards, you really can’t go wrong with a Scotto facility! Good luck!

Re: Hi, I'm new to the site and was wondering what you guys think about the Fox Hollow

I had actually loved the big room, but you had to guarantee 170 for it, and even if I got that number of people I didn't know if they would look lost in such a big room. I would like to have it in the atrium but I can't get my list down to 130. I guess i'll just have to go and look tomorrow. Does anyone know any rooms for around 150 that is around 80pp in May?
