Re: Disposable Wedding Cameras... CHEAP!

I would be wary of buying cheap ones... there was a girl on here a while back (can't remember her name) who used disposable cameras at her wedding, and she said that they came out horrible, too dark, and that it was a complete waste of money and developing.

Re: Disposable Wedding Cameras... CHEAP!

I'm going to go thru www.freeweddingcameras.com

I don't know if you've ever seen that woman stephi stewart - with all her tips on how to save $$ on your wedding- I get her newsletter to my email and she highly recommends them- I think I'm going to order 1 or 2 take some photos and develop them just to make sure they're ok and then order the rest if they're good. They're $3.45-$3.95 which is a lot less than most other places.

Re: Disposable Wedding Cameras... CHEAP!

You have time to wait for a sale! I got mine on sale at Staples the day after Thanksgiving. They were only 97 cents each! 800 speed, 27 exposures, Staples brand.

I got the same ones as Jultz...but I missed the sale! I think I got them for @3 each. I also got B&W ones from Target. I'm going to put one color and one B&W on each table.

Re: Disposable Wedding Cameras... CHEAP!

I had an idea. Why not get regular ones, and make some kind of outside for them yourelf. Take the packaging off one of them, and scan it into the computer. Then use a paint program to make graphics, and print it out. You won't waste much ink if you use alot of white. Just an idea, might work.

Re: Disposable Wedding Cameras... CHEAP!

I bought the Staples brand disposable cameras when they were on sale for 97 cents each. Maybe try them, I don't think they are that much. And they work great. I brought one out for my bachelorette party to test it, I knew we would be in a dark place. The pics came out great, except for a few dark ones that were taken from a distance and even they were not that bad.

Re: Disposable Wedding Cameras... CHEAP!

Bj's actually sells the kodak wedding camera in a wedding 4 pk. I think they are like $20 or $25 for the 4 of them. You can also by the regular disposable ones from costco the 2 pk is about $13. If you get the regular ones you can go on line to http://www.thecraftypc.com/discamskin.html

and get the pattern for skins that you can make out of a nice wrapping paper.

ETA: Be careful purchasing camera's too early b/c just like film they expire. Watch your dates especially when buying them from liquidators or $1 stores they normally get the rejects and expired ones from the larger drug stores and warehouse stores.

Re: Disposable Wedding Cameras... CHEAP!

I used the Staples ones for my wedding and brought a few for the honeymoon. They worked great but make sure to use the flash or else inside/nighttime pictures will be too dark.

Re: Disposable Wedding Cameras... CHEAP!

I am going to use disposable camaras too. I saw them in a bridal magazine at 5.95 each, to expensive when you need 13. I have to check staples because that price is great. Then I can make that card that most magazines have telling the guest the purpose of the camara.

Thanks for the tip ladies!!
I am going to check ebay too!!

Re: Disposable Wedding Cameras... CHEAP!

I didn't try it yet but it looks like I will have to make a few adjustmets to make it fit the Staples brand better! Like MrHostility said, you can always scan the old camera skin and then a more accurate shape.
