Gifts and Thank Yous

Need advice... if someone sends you a gift with a no reply to the wedding, do you send them a Thank You now or wait till you have your thank you's from the wedding?

I think it would be nice to send them a thank you now. Then, after the wedding, you could send them the photo you're using with your other thank yous. It wouldn't be necessary to send them a 2nd thank you.

Lately I've been trying to send out thank you notes almost immediately after a gift arrives. That way, I feel like I can cross another task off my list, and there's no risk that I'll forget to send the note along the way! Plus, I always think that prompt thank you notes leave a good impression.
