Nervous about getting pregnant

Nervous about getting pregnant

I feel so scarred about when the right time will be to have a baby. I am currently going back to school for my master's and working full-time. I will be 25 in march. Part of me feels such a eager need to have a baby. And part of me wants to wait for the end of the summer to try. I sort of feel selfish for want to have a summer baby. My husband wants a november baby. He wants to start trying now. Help!!!!

It needs to be right for both of you. If you do not feel ready, you should wait. You are only 25, you've got plenty of time.

I was so scared when I found out I was pregnant! I was going to be starting a 2nd master's degree in the fall, working full time and married for about three months. I was 28 when I found out I was pregnant and definitely didn't think I was 'old' enough to have a baby.

But I don't think you're selfish for wanting to have a summer baby! Being pregnant in the winter is horrible! I'm 39 weeks and I feel like I'm the Pilsbury dough boy! If I were ever to go through this crazy experience... I will definitely plan for a summer baby. So I can wear tank tops, flip flops and shorts!

Good luck in what ever you decide to do! The fears definitely do subside... at least the fears of being someone's mother have subsided a bit for me (maybe that's because I just want this little girl to get out already!)

I would wait till you're done school, but I am not sure thats what you want.

You're not being selfish at all. You are still young and Mary is right, you BOTH have to be ready and feel when the time is right. It's nice to say you want a summer baby and he wants a November baby, but sometimes it just doesn't work that way. Do what you need to do for you and it will happen... I know exactly how you feel. DH and I want a baby sooo much and we talk about it but we feel its not the right time. We both want to finish school and do what we have to do now before having children. I don't think you are being selfish just trying to do the right thing in many ways.
