OMG...I FORGOT TO MENTION WHAT A WONDERFUL GIFT I GOT IN THE MAIL TODAY!!

I received a nice wedding gift from the wonderful county of nassau.... I got a SUMMONS FOR JURY DUTY!!! YEAH!!!!!

I am scheduled to report for duty on February 23rd. Unfortunately, I will be unable to fulfill my duty to our court system, as I will be on my HONEYMOON!!!! Luckily, I can postpone it, however they want me to give another date that I will be able to do it in the next six months.

Ya know I got that questionairre a few months ago and as I was filling it out, I said to my mother, they are going to call me in February when I am getting married and on my honeymoon. And sure enough they did. I even wrote in the space provided on the questionaire that I was not available in February because I was getting married. I guess they pay no attention to that. Now I have to remember to call on Monday to postpone it, which I am sure I will forget to do!!

OK, I am done complaining!!!

I always get called during finals week!!! like don't they have a record of college students???

I just filled out the questionnaire 2 or 3 weeks ago. If they call me to go in early May I'll shoot myself.

Is it hard to postpone? Do I call or go in person to the court?
