Regarding the OMG thread (PLease read and respond)

First I want to say how happy I am to know such a wonderful group of compassionate women. You have all made my heart glad. Thank You!

For those who are in the dark about this situation please refer to the following threads.

http://www.liweddings.com/chat/topic.aspx?ID=117105

http://www.liweddings.com/chat/topic.aspx?ID=117052

Here are my thoughts.
Many have expressed a concern to donate monies to a scholarship program or to the music department of the school etc. These are all wonderful ideas! But my first thought is to the surviving husband and family. Do they have the means for funeral expenses, medical bills etc. So, do you think that first we should be concerned with these matters and send our donations to the family so they can take care of what ever needs have come about at this time? Please either post your response or FM me.

What we at LIWeddings and NYCityWeddings would like to do is set up a special page that you can make your donations then we will match your donations up to $2000.

Let me know your thoughts
Ron and Liz

I agree as well. And since the Newsday article specifically mentioned LIWeddings, it would be a nice gesture to have something come from "all of us".

Please count me in and let me know how I should send my contribution.

Yeah, send to the family. The husband is still in the hospital, right?

BTW, did we ever find out her username? Was it just JoAnna?

Yes it would all come from us.

I will set up a special donation page that you can make donations via credit card. We will match your contributions and then pass it on in everyones name.
