So the fire is at Ronkokoma and not Penn Station?? Or are there 2 different fires?

Stacey I just heard this on ch. 2 and they had fire trucks at the entrance to penn. That article says ronkonkoma and it is also dated Jan 28?

No there is a fire at penn station thats all they said on channel 2 and they said 1 reported injury.

Due to a smoke condition in one of the East River tunnels, the LIRR anticipates 20-to-30 minute delays on trains leaving Penn Station. There will also be some eastbound trains out of Penn Station canceled and combined.

It was a track fire in a tunnel going to queens.

Due to a smoke condition in one of the East River tunnels, the LIRR is experiencing 20-to-30 minute delays on trains leaving Penn Station; and 10-15 minute delays on trains operating into Penn Station. There will also be some eastbound trains out of Penn Station canceled and combined.

The canceled/combined trains are:

Babylon Branch:
The 5:40 PM train from Penn Station to Seaford is canceled. Customers can take the 5:47 PM train from Penn Station making stops at Rockville Centre then all stops to Seaford.

The 6:05 PM train from Penn Station to Wantagh is canceled. Customers can take the 6:10 PM train from Penn Station stopping at Rockville Centre then all stops to Wantagh.

The 6:33 PM train from Penn Station to Babylon is canceled. Customers can take the 6:36 PM train from Penn Station making stops at Rockville Centre then all stops to Babylon.

Port Washington Branch:
The 5:50 PM train from Penn Station to Great Neck is canceled. Customers can take the 5:56 PM train from Penn Station making all stops to Great Neck.

The 6:14 PM train from Penn Station to Great Neck is canceled. Customers can take the 6:24 PM train from Penn Station making stops to Port Washington.

The 6:42 PM train from Penn Station to Great Neck is canceled. Customers can take the 6:59 PM train from Penn Station to Port Washington which will make all stops to Port Washington.

The 7:14 PM train from Penn Station to Great Neck is canceled. Customers can take the 7:27 PM train from Penn Station to Port Washington which will make all stops to Port Washington.
