Calling all MOHs and Bridesmaids

How soon before the wedding did you start plan the shower for the bride you were part of the bridal party for?

Did anyone do a tea party theme??

my girlfriend had a tea party theme. she is from upstate so it was a bit different, but they served desserts and sandwiches. her sister went to thrift stores and got old porcelain teacups and embroidered napkins that served as our favors. it was very nice

I was the maid of honor in a wedding last October. We had the shower in August, and I think I started researching and planning in May.

I can't help you on the tea party theme, but my sister's (robeymuse) wedding is May 16th, and we are having the shower on April 3rd. My mother and I started researching places to have the shower in January while I was home from school. I think we sent out the invites almost 2 weeks ago, if that. Hope this helps.
