Trying on dresses and taking pictures

I'm going to be trying on a few dresses in March and I'll be on my own for this one so I was wondering...

Can I ask the salesperson helping me to take pictures so I can decide with my friends (who can't be there)? Do you think they'll agree to that?

No, I Sawry, but everywhere I've been has been so strict about the no picture till the fitting rule :(

The more upscale salons will never agree to this. Some of the more neighborhood type places will allow it though.

No one lets you do it! My mom lives in Florida and they wouldn't even let me do it to send her pics! They all think you are going to take that pic and find the dress somewhere else.

The Bridal Suite in Patchogue let us take pictures.

RK Bridal in the city lets you. I know they use to sell disposable cameras. Also Avic (?) in Bayside let me take pictures before buying as well. Most places won't let you until you buy the dress - it stinks.

Maybe you can try to take it without a flash. But most places won't let you, unless your ordered the gown.

Everywhere I went to had signs up that said no pictures. I would find out if they have available any pictures of dresses you like from the designers that you could take.

Most places don't allow pics but the following do:

Bridal Suite of Patchogue
Paradise Bridals in Patchogue
David's Bridal
Lydia's in Copiague

davids wouldnt let me 'only if your buying the dress'.... my friend who came with me snuck pictures.... i ended up getting my dress from there, but have pictures from 3 different dresses...
