ETA - All caribbean children are 'abused', school, home etc we aren't all commiting murder.

see that's my point.. and it REALLY REALY pisses me off.

My mother beat me to the point that even the doctors started asking questons.

I have NEVER committed murder or any crime for that matter.

I HATE this BS line of defense.

The last one was something about the guy who kidnapped that girl and then buried her.. did he say 'My momma made me eat my own sh!t' WHO CARES??!??!

This sniper guy didnt just do this once.. the did it OVER AND OVER again. Not just like he hit mothers and fathers that reminded him of his parents, perhaps in revenage, they aimed at ANYONE.

I believe that abuse as a child can cause great detriment to a person as he or she matures. However, that does not appear to be the case here. He is using it as an excuse and should not be allowed to get away with it.

It is unfortunate that any child gets abused, however, there are many children of abuse who live their lives without going around and killing other people. It is not an excuse.

What I don't understand is how can his abusive childhood benefit him anyway? I mean really, he's a threat to society, he can't control his impulses, he doesn't belong among the general population, period. Okay so maybe his childhood experiences caused him to be this way (although I don't understand why people don't know right from wrong, no matter what happened as a kid. My mother used to kick my ass like nobody's business - I always knew it was wrong!) So he either goes to jail or goes to the chair. What jury is going to be sympathetic to this man knowing what he has done?

As long as he's no longer a threat to society I don't care what happens to him.

Once again I think the death penalty is in order not that anyone should have been killed but the reason behind it is more disturbing! fry that biotch !

I agree with you all. That is no excuse for his behavior. It is his own responsibility to get help if he needs it. I am very proud of all of you who had such difficult childhoods. I think you all truned out great.

There are hundreds of thousands of people out there who were abused in all sorts of ways as children (myself included) and they do not spend their lives running around killing people. Sorry folks it just isn't an excuse in any way, shape or form. If it was I would have the mother of all excuses for being a lunatic murderer!!!
