WOW! I just read through my faithful post....and I think I need to clarify
What I was getting at was religious or not....I believe we all have faith in SOMETHING. For some it's in God and JC and the religious affiliation they have. For others, it's faith in having certain beliefs in everyday living, such as giving to those less fortunate, or always smiling at someone on the street.
I guess I was inspired by the lyrics of my wedding song in which the line says "have a little faith in me" which I do. I have complete faith in my FH and our love and knowing that we can overcome anything that comes our way. I also have faith in that good always overcomes evil, I have faith that what goes around comes around....I have faith in GOOD PEOPLE. Although I was born Jewish and now choose to attend church but am not baptised...our children will be raised in the church because he wants it. His religious affiliation is alot more important to him than mine is to me, and I'm fine with that. We are happy as a couple and the religious differences were not important in our courtship.
I do happen to believe that "the church" in any denomination is very dogmatic and judgemental....why does one need to empty your pockets to worship god. Why do you need to go to a designated building...why can't you worship in your backyard....prayers are heard from everywhere and at anytime.
My mother claims she doesn't believe in God, but claims to be Jewish. Hypocrite. It angers me. My father does his prayers on the holy days in his own home.
Good People are out there and I believe you get what you give....THANK YOU ALL FOR LISTENING, BEING KIND AND UNDERSTANDING EACH PERSONS INDIVIDUALITY ON THIS ISSUE. I LOVE YOU ALL!
