Would anyone be interested in a June 12th 2005 wedding at CB?

Fiancee and I are thinking of moving up our wedding to this September, but the only way I think we'd be able to get back some of our deposits would be to fill the date... I just wanted to get an idea if we'd be able to do that, or if it would be too much trouble... Our reception hall is the entire Leonardo DaVinci room and either the Saturnia or outside for coctail...

I did that also. I used to be a mrach 2005 bride and we bumped up our wedding. Good Luck

Well, I'm not really sure... I'm gonna see what is available... I just know that the contract says that if we break it then we wont get our deposits back. Ugh..

Why are you thinking of changing your wedding date? I am sorry if this is a private issue, I just wondered if it had something to do with CB! Either way, good luck - everything will work itself out.

Oh no.... doesnt have to do with CB AT ALL! They are awesome! I am just a little worried that my grandparents are getting old, and since I dont have my parents anymore, I want to make sure that they are there... we've been living together for 2 years...and we were really waiting to save money, but this may be more important... it's still up in the air though... but definitely nothing to do with CB.,... I heard that they are nothing but wonderful!

I was able to change my date with my hall from June 5th to May 29 as long as the date was open without losing a deposit.

Have you spoken to CB about this? If you could manage to keep the reception at CB, if there's a date available, I don't think they will charge you any penalty. They still have more than enough time to book your 2005 date. If you're seriously considering this, you should really get moving. I started looking last September for this Sept/Oct and had a hard time finding places with availablity. The Crescent only had 2 Saturday nights available, Sept. 4, which is Labor Day weekend, and Oct. 9, which is what we went with. Good luck!

Thanks girls... actually, my grandpa went into the hospital today, so right now I'm not doing anything except for finding out what's wrong with him... I'll keep you all posted!

I also did this... Check with CB FIRST! I changed my date from April 2005 and keep my reception site and didn't lose any deposits. I was also able to reschedule the other vendors I had already booked without losing any deposits. With over a year to go til June, the CB should have NO trouble booking that Saturday night so there is no reason why they should keep your deposit if you stay with them.
