Question for the married ladies...

When you went to your hall right before your wedding to drop off your favors and place cards, etc... what did you tell your matre'd regarding your decorating? Like how you wanted each table to be decorated, guest book table, place card table, etc... did you give them a list of instructions? Just wondering because I have so many decorating ideas and I personally can't be there when they're decorating for my reception and I don't want anything to be messed up. TIA!

Yes I did and they wrote everything down. I also sent one of my BM in right before the reception to check it all out

I met with the hall a few days before the wedding to drop off the favors, place cards, etc. and I went over everything with our maitre'd. I went into the reception room before the cocktail hour to look it over and everything came out the way we wanted it. I think most halls are used to this and will listen to how you want things done and accomplish it for you.
