Did you parents/inlaws pay for their parent albums?

We paid for everything ourselves, and couldnt afford to add on parent albums. MIL is very upset that she doesnt have pics. Yet, she never said she liked any proofs, and didnt even take any of her own pics at the wedding. She just expected an album. I am frustrated because she has never said anything nice about our pics, and never offered to contribute toward an album.

We don't have parent albums in our pkg because we took them out & added more pics to our album but we will probably get one for my in-laws. They helped us alot & that is what she would like so that is what they will get. My mom I may get a portfolio (she is not the album type of person & her & stepdad gave us our HM) My dad I will get a few of the pics that they want.

I paid for my parents/inlaws albums at least what was included in the package - both parents went over the alloted number of pictures and they contributed the money for the extra pictures.

What about making her your own small album? Maybe make some prints of pictures you have and making an album. I know many people who have done that. I also made both families a small album like this using the doubles from the table camera pictures and pictures friends and family gave us.

They were included in the package and we had to add an extra one because my parents are divorced and they each wanted their own album.

These are all good suggestions. Again, I am just upset because this parent album was never promised and pics were never even picked out. Infact I already said we would scan and print pics, but I guess that wasnt good enough.

You can make her one now and give it as a gift. Print your own pics and out them in a professional album.

We paid for our parent albums- but our families added more pictures which they paid for. Both parents gave money gifts and we considered that their contribution to the albums.
Just a suggestion...how about letting your in-laws hold on to your proofs and give them your photographer's number. Tell them when they decide they can get in touch with the photographer and have the work done. No pressure- if they want pictures they can get pictures, KWIM?
You're lucky- we got my in-laws an album and even gave them extra pictures. They don't display them AT ALL- but they have a professional picture of their DOG on their mantle!!!!!

We're paying for our parent albums...we got the package through our photographer which included two parent albums.

we took the parent albums out...since my mom is also not an album person - she wanted a folio...and my MIL said whatever my mom was getting was fine with her...

neither paid...but my parents paid for our reception...so we had no problem getting them an album (and a big screen TV )

were giving both sets a small album of 12 5x5's, and a video...
both sets are contributing to the wedding so we had no problem giving them these...

We paid for everything including the parent albums. It was part of our package. I feel for you about the inlaw situation. I wish I hadnt gotten the in-laws an album because all my MIL did was complain about how bad the picts were, how the photographer didnt know what he was doing, and how he didnt get enough picts of her friends. It was painful to have her pick the picts for her album.

We are paying for our parents albums and its part of the package - its the least thing we could do for them.

The only album outside of ours was my mother and I paid for that personally, I gave it to her for mother's day. My inlaws got an 8*10 with a nice crystal frame
