I would give between $100-150 depending on how close you are with them.

I don't think it matters by day or night, give what you would from your heart & if were a Thursday

Re: For a Sunday night engagement party, how much would you give for a gift??

We had an engagement dinner at a restaurant on a Sunday night and we got gifts ranging from 25.00 in cash to 500.00 --depending upon how close the giver was to us...
Our friends roughly gave us between 50-150..Our family members (the closer ones) gave us 150 and up...Hope that helps...
Note: We also got a lot of nice gifts too.
FM me if you want more details.

not really close to people but for two people $150 okay? I'm sure this engagement will be almost like a wedding. Thanks

I think it really depends on how close you are to the couple. I would personally give more the closer I am to the couple.

I thought you give gifts for engagement parties?? My family doesn't have them but I have a bunch of friends' engagement parties coming up... Is it always a monetary gift?
