Need help with the Bridal Party on the Wedding Day

I have 7 girls in my wedding party.
They all want to get thier hair and makeup done- and they would all get it done by the same person, all at my house.

Here is my question:
Is it too crazy to ask them to be at my house at 8 in the morning for a 2:30 wedding???
Is that CRAZY?

Not crazy at all! Why don't you get some bagels and stuff...and they can eat and chit-chat while the others are being worked on?

I was in a wedding 2 years ago...and there was only 2 of us getting hair and make-up done at the brides house...I was there at 6 AM....and I bought the bagels! It should not be a big deal at all!!

Instead of having everyone come at 8am have them come like every 1/2 hour so they can get some extra sleep if they want. There is always one girl that likes to get up early have her come first and then have the next come like every 25-30 min. It might be a little easier on your sanity too, not having 7 girls running around your house screaming for 5 hours.

We're doing the same thing- the only thing my person that's doing our hair asked for was the whoever had the 'worst' hair / thickest hair to work with be done first. Then she'd so another 1-2 then me and then she'll finish up with the other 2.
Most of the people will be local so I'm having them all come over for breakfast w/ us (Bagels and stuff) and then as they get their hair done they can go back to their house/ wherever and do whatever they need to do (if they want to) and then come back to all get ready at my house.

I was in a wedding last year that had the same time frame you had proposed. It's not unreasonable at all.

Its not that big of a deal, but if there is only once person do all that hair & makeup, maybe you can stagger who coems when. Early risers & peopelclose by can come first.
Talk to the hair/makeup person.
I was in a wedding at 2, and we all had to be at the salon at 8 or 8 30 & we had 3 stylists & had blocked appointmetns untill 1030 or something, but we weren't really assigned apointments. So I was waitign around a longtime, which was a little annooying since I had to wake my FH up early to drive me 45 from the hotel to the salon.

I don't know if this is an option for you...but my girls and I are all having a big sleepover the night before after the rehearsal dinner at my house...this way the girls are already there when she comes to do our hair and make-up. The only girl who is not spending the night will have a 2 month old baby...understandable!!!! She will come over a little later after we're all done!!

No, I had 7 of my 9 girls come to my house for hair and makeup, they were told to be there by 6am (my wedding was at 3 but I live in SI so had to leave at 1:30 to beat the belt parkway traffic on a hot saturday afternoon in July)
