MOB dress question

My mother is stunning at age 57 and she has a great toned body. We have been consistenly going to bridal salons and evening dress stores in Suffolk but everything is run of the mill. She and I want her to look WOW, but everything is so cookie-cutter. Does anyone know of any great evening/ mother of the bride dress places that don't have such cookie cutter dresses in Nassau or NYS or suffolk? Price is not an issue. Please help us!

Re: MOB dress question

You can try Saks in Garden City and Huntington but the Saks in the city has an awseome selection of evening dresses.

Re: MOB dress question

I was going to say the same thing. Try Saks or maybe Nordstrums. If you go to a bridal store you're going to find the typical MOB dresses.

Re: MOB dress question

Ok on LI - try Nordstroms - they get new stuff in every 2 weeks or so - and they have a nice selection if you go from time to time, Saks in garden city is ok - but nothing that great - the one in huntington I don't think is anything special - BUT the city has an amazing selection you can call ahead and ask when their next large shipment is due then go in that day or the next before things disappear (AND they DO disappear quickely)

My mother got a Teri Jon outfit from Saks - she is NOT the old mother type and wanted something formal but more 'her' look.

Thank you so much for the referral to Mieka. You were 100% right that had the most fab stuff. My mother purchases a gown by Stephen Yearick and it is BEAUTIFUL to say the least. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!
