father/daughter/mother son dance question...

I always remember seeing this, but do people usually do it? During the mother/son dance don't they usually call up the bride and the groom's dad to dance about halfway through? ANd during the father/daughter dance don't they usually call up the groom with the bride's mother to dance half way through???

There is no 'way of doing it', if you want to do it that way.........then you can, your wedding, your rules

eta - I have never seen it the way you are descibing though....father/daight, mother/son usually happen at dfffernt times........

I have never seen that. But I have seen a separate dance (after Bride/Dad, Groom/Mom dances) where the Bride dances with the Groom's Dad and the Groom dances with the Bride's Mom. We are thinking of doing this so that the other parents will have a special moment on the dance floor as well.
