When do you start taking prenatal vitamins?

We are still a couple years away, but I'm curious how long before TTC did you all start taking supplements and cut out alcohol and caffiene??

6 months or 1 year prior??

they don't hurt...so I take them when I can remember...

we are not planning TTC anytime soon...but just wan to be prepared if something does happen earlier than we plan

I don't drink too much...and caffeine is something I will not be able to give up until I am really close

Yabbo, you don't need to give up caffeine completely. As lon gas it's not more than one cup a day—be it soda or coffee—you are fine!

Can you take prenatal vitamins while on the pill?

Yes, I believe you can. Prenatal is just folic acid, it's not hormonal, so it will not interfere wiht the pill

I am going to TTC around August/ September and I just started taking them. You can get them at a drug store over the counter. When you go to the dr. they may prescribe a particular brand.
