Those doing wine bottles as favors

I'd like to do this but have no idea of the cost. Are you doing a full size bottle or smaller, one per couple or everyone and where are you getting the wine. Also and most importantly what is the cost? Are you putting your own labels on them?

Re: Those doing wine bottles as favors

We did wine bottles as favors. We gave one full-size bottle per couple (and those who came by themselves got a full bottle to themselves). I don't know what the exact amount came to but I think it was about $7-8 per bottle. We got about 3/4 white wine and 1/4 red wine. We had the regular wine labels and our names and wedding date attached on the neck of the bottle. The guests liked the favors. We got the wine from Duckwalk and Pindar vineyards. After we placed our orders through the Internet, they called us and asked us if we wanted to be lifetime members for $10. As lifetime members, we would receive 25% off of our order, so we saved over $100. If you have any more questions, just FM!

Re: Those doing wine bottles as favors

we haven't gotten themyet. we were going to go through pindar to get them, but they were 7 dollars a bottle. it came with wrap and ribbons and labels, but we didn't really like any of them.

pindar winter white is usually $5.40 at the liqour store by my house...bottles and cases in huntington. it is one of the least expensive i have seen it.

we are going to see if they go on sale in the next few months and make our own labels for the bottles.

good luck with it.

eta: we are doing full size bottles one per couple

Re: Those doing wine bottles as favors

We bought our wine at Osprey's Dominion (for out OOT bags) and got the 'birthday club' discount (% off equal to your age ... I guess in some ways it pays to be 36)!!!
