Church Program, help.......kinda long & maybe a little confusing, sorry
I have 2-Maids of Honor, 1-Best Man, 4-Bridesmaids and 5-Groomsmen and I have an extra Groomsmen to escort the 2nd MOH.Now my question is, How do I write in the church progam?
I was thinking of using this format:
Maids of Honor Best Man
[name of #1] [name]
[name of #2]
Bridesmaids Groomsmen
[name of #1] [name of #1]
[name of #2] [name of #2]
[name of #3] [name of #3]
[name of #4] [name of #4]
Flower Girl Ring Bearer
[name] [name]
Would it look OK if I had an extra name in the Groomsmen column? But if I do it that way it not going to match up with who's escorting who down the asile.
Maybe I could make another title? Maybe something like this:
Maid of Honor Best Man
[name of #1] [name]
Maid of Honor Head Groomsman or something?
[name of #2] [name]
Bridesmaids Groomsmen
[name of #1] [name of #1]
[name of #2] [name of #2]
[name of #3] [name of #3]
[name of #4] [name of #4]

I like the logic of the second suggestion you made - about matching up the people by who will be escorting them.Either way is fine but if you're concerned about people understanding who is who then I vote for your alternative.

I don't like the sound of Head Groomsman but can't think of anything else right now...it's okay, but I think you can find another word (I know, I'm not much help here)...
I have yet to get to programs so I have no idea how I will word mine, but off the top of my head I will probably just list MOH, BM, Bridesmaids and Groomsmen all separately. We have an odd number and may not even pair people up (just have they guys at the altar)...like I said, no clue yet...

If you use head groomsmen or something like that does that mean you are going to pick someone randomly for that title or will that person actually have a special role. unless your FH wants to pick one guy out amongst the group, i wouldn't do it that way. i would just have a staggered number of bridesmaids vs. groomsmen. i don't think people will be trying to figure out who is walking with who down the isle as it is happening and noticing this in the program.

I like your first version. I plan on listing them all alphabetically - and I have an uneven bp.Mine looks like this
Maid of Honor
Name
Best man
name
Bridesmaid
Name name
Name name
Groomsmen
Name name
name name
name
