Do You Get Really Nervous Thinking About Wedding Day?

I do. I had a nightmare last night that it was already the next day, and I didn't have anything ready. I'm not nervous about getting married, I'm just nervous about the whole day. I don't like to be the center of attention, and it scares me thinking about it. I kind of dread it. Is anyone else in the same boat?

I can totally relate to this!

I picture myself walking down the aisle with this super-sized, nervous, 'quivery' smile on my face...because everyone is looking at me...

Then I start to think about what my pictures will look like!

I'm not big on being the center of attention either....I sometimes get nervous in social situations - although no one would ever know -but I feel it big time!

Maybe I'll have a glass of champagne before I walk down the aisle - just to take the 'edge off'...but then I'm afraid I'll get too emotional....yikes!!

I wish I could be calm, cool and collected!

I dont think I will be majorly nervous.. maybe a little worried things will go smoothly.. but that's about it..

I have found the key to staying calm cool and collected is to focus on something, ie walking down the aisle.. I'd focus on the alter, on my FH and the road ahead of me, kinda like tunnel vision, if you start looking around it will only make you more nervous..

I had a dream that my flowers were wilted when I got to the hall. that the dj was dressed like a clown and that i was crying all day and had no makeup left!

I am a little nervous. I was just the MOH in my sisters wedding last week so that was good practice for me. I was trying to calm her down the WHOLE night before and the whole morning before the ceremony. So it was really stressfull for me. It was definately good practice for me because now I fell like I can do it no matter how nervous I am, seeing how nervous my sister was.

The closer I get the more anxiety I have about some type of disaster happening especially after this past sunday when I watched Wild Weddings. That was a mistake!

Totally agree with you, but an excited nervous. I am honestly most nervous about keeeping my emotions in check, i cry like a baby at other peoples weddings, i cant even imagine what I will feel like saying my vows, and looking into the eyes of my baby! I want to enjoy it, not be a whimpering emotional basket case, im sure that wont look too good in pics

I get nervous when am about to go to bed and start thinking about how nervous I will be.. I don't want to make a fool of myself on the alter

i actually didnt get that nervous and didnt have a single nightmare. i just trained myself all along to know that if something went wrong along the way mostly likely it can b efixed and if it happned the day of there isnt anything that you can do and you cant let it ruin your day.

i get nervous being the center of attention too. I get all flushed and get really hot when people put me on the spot.

we already decided to not have a spotlight dance, and have people join us halfway through our first dance. I don't want everyone staring at me the whole song. I know people will be looking at us all night, but at least i won't notice it.

and i'm also worried about the klutz factor... i am the biggest klutz!! FH can't believe the things i do sometimes, so i just pray i don't trip down the aisle, or fall when he tries to spin me.

I'm worried about being able to sleep the night before! I'm also worried about snapping at people... I have a bad habit of doing that when I'm anxious

I plan on taking something to help me sleep.. .but im going to test it before the wedding to make sure it won't make me OVER sleep!

There was a time when I was extremely anxious about the wedding, but the funny thing is, I'm less nervous now than I've been. I'm still having nightmares, but I feel okay about it now. There are some things I can't control, and I've let that go.
