Okay, it's been a big 2 days for me, I booked Laura from LA Productions as my Day of Coordinator!
Picked up my invites today and had my hair trial yesterday.I feel so much better knowing Laura will be there make sure everything runs smoothly. I really don't want my day to be a blur and I feel good knowing that she can take care of all the details for that day.
Also, she has really creative ideas and suggestions that I wouldn't have even thought of.

Actually, she has a 3 or 4 page list of things to go over.
She met with Phil and I for 2 hours going over a timeline, getting all our vendors contact info, listening to my concerns and the things that are important to us on our day.
For example, she'll remind me to reapply lipstick throughout the night for pics, she will inspect all the flowers, she will make sure we eat, she will make sure the timeline works and we are on time, she will make sure the photographer gets all the pics I want, the DJ plays the songs we want and makes sure the DJ does not play any songs we don't want, she will handle the tips at the end of the night.
She will bascially double check everything and make sure it runs smoothly and the beauty is I won't have to know anything, I will just enjoy the day with my new husband, our family and friends.
She actually educated us on some of the ceremony traditions that we weren't aware of. She gave suggestions and ideas.
Also, Phil and I feel very comfortable with her, I think we all clicked.
I am really happy and relieved she is going to be there on our day.

Thank you so much for all of that. I am so excited about her and I haven't even met her yet
We are probably only going to have her until right after the cocktail hour. Flowerfield was a little offended that I was bringing someone else in. They called me up when they found out and asked if I hired her because they are not helping me enough. I told them it had nothing to do with Flowerfield but everything leading up to the reception.

Wow, I actually think that is good that your hall ask you if you felt they weren't helping enough. I say.'Go Flowerfield!'
Everything leading up to the reception was the reason why we hired Laura. 3 of my BMs live out of state and my sister is useless. We are doing pics before the ceremony and I want her there for that and when we are getting ready to make sure everything is running smoothly and we follow the timeline and if there is an emergency she can handle it.

I was not planning on hiring a coordinator, but it sounds like it would be a great help. I am concerned about paying for one. Would anyone mind sharing the cost of a coordinator?Thanks!
