Photographer questions You should ask

Ok went today to photgraphers, not a good day. I really want a photojournalist. Here are some questions that helped me to get idea , whi I want
1. Make sure you meet with the photographer that will be at your day and look at his work. I had a photgrapher show me someone else's album, then when I asked this is your's? he said no Ill get mine. When I saw His album photojournalis is not what I saw.
2. The average amount of shots they should take is 500, if a photojournalis it should be more. Someone told me today they only take 250. I want alot to chose from
3. When does shooting time begin and end?
4. What type of film. This is important if you want a photojournalis they should only use regular film.
5. Look at your packages closely. One place did not include enagement and for their quote I got today it was almost 5000 without video I should get engagment. The average package should include 1 bride/grrom album with 40 pictures, 2 parent book with 20 pictures. wallet size (that depends on the amount, average 75) if you need more there should not be a charge unless you need alot more, 1 20x20,0r 16x20, and maybe 2 others like 8x8.
6. Is tip included? I forgot this one today.

VEry good post...this is helpful for not 'hating' your pics afterwards...I know 3 people who used my photographer, two didnt say much and didnt get what they had reamed of...one person had a 4 page list of pictures that HAD to be taken and while the photgraphers were intially put off...maybe....Her pictures were some of the best I have ever seen, because she was pushy...remember you are paying a lot of money , have it done YOUR way...you dont want with all the commotion and stuff going on to find out weeks later, there is no picture of you and so and so that you really wanted...
