HELP! hang out with mom on her 55th Bday or go to Fi's uncle's surprise 60th party?
Ladies HELP ME! We just got invited to a surprise 60th party for my fi's uncle on May 2. But, May 2 is my mom's birthday.My mom will be in central NJ. There isn't a party planned, but it is her Birthday. I will be spending May 1 with her to do wedding stuff.
The uncle's surpise party will be in Peekskill, NY. So, we can't really do BOTH...HELP

i would have to say... if FH says it is important to him that you will go then you should go... besides mom isnt having a party and you will be with her the day beforewhen you dont live with your parents it is hard to see them on every special occasion

Take mom out to a great breakfast or lunch on the wedding stuff day and then go to the other b-day party!

I say make a pre birthday celebration on may 1st instead of wedding stuff so you dont have to feel guilty about going the suprise party the next day

I agree with this. It depends - if your mom will be upset, hang with her. If not, if she has other people to do something with, go to the party.

I think you should give deference to your mom. Find out what your mom would like to do and if you can arrange to celebrate early with your mom, then you may be able to go to FH's uncle's party.
